Real Care Deal Principles

The Real Care Deal - Co-production in action!

How we can work together to keep co-producing The Real Care Deal website. This website is for everyone. It’s a place to share ideas, stories, and feedback. We want it to grow and change based on what people tell us. This guide explains how we’ll do that - and how your input will help shape more than just the website.

This website isn’t finished

..and that is on purpose! We want to keep coproducing it. We know there are things we can do better and we want to know what is working well. That’s why we want your help to shape it.

How You Can Help

We would love to hear:

  • What’s working well?
  • What’s not?
  • What would make you want to come back and use the website again?

Your ideas will help us make the website more useful for everyone – and more than that, they’ll help shape how we work. Your feedback will influence our strategies, guide how we redesign the things we currently commission, and inform how we ask providers to deliver their services.

Our Commitments

  • We’ll listen to what you share.
  • We will read/listen to every message, even if we can’t reply to them all.
  • We’ll be open about what we are learning and changing.
  • The website will keep changing and improving over time.
  • Your feedback will help shape our wider approach – not just online, but in how we design and deliver services.
  • Please note: This isn’t the place to report safeguarding concerns – use the appropriate services for that.

If you have a safeguarding concern please use this link: Norfolk County Council Safeguarding

How You Can Share

You can give feedback by:

  • Completing the “contact us” form on the website
  • Sharing your story or experience
  • Talking to us at events

We are interested in both the good and the not so good – there is learning in all of it.

What We Do With Feedback

  • We read or listen to everything that you share with us
  • We look for common themes – the things that lots of people are saying
  • We’ll group the ideas and share what we propose to do about them in a “You Said, We Did” section
  • If something needs fixing, we’ll pass it over to the right team and provide updates about what is being done about it
  • We’ll use your insights to shape our strategies, rethink how we commission services, and improve how we ask providers to deliver them.

Learning From Stories

Stories help us understand real experiences. We will look for patterns and use them to improve the way that we work, both on this website and in the services we support.

Keeping the Website Fresh

We will keep updating the website based on your feedback. We will test new ideas, ask for your thoughts, and make changes when needed.

Keeping the Conversation Going

  • This isn’t a one-time thing; it’s an ongoing conversation
  • We’ll keep asking for your ideas and feedback
  • We’ll share what we’re learning and how the website is changing
  • We’ll also share how your input is helping us shape broader service improvements.

Checking In

Every few months, we will review how things are going. A small group will meet regularly to make sure that we are staying on track; not just with the website, but with how we’re using your feedback to improve the way we work.
